The
White House of Wilmington is a Victorian mansion that offers you
elegant yet relaxed surroundings. Set on the crest of a high, rolling
hill, and surrounded by towering hardwoods and formal flower gardens,
it is readily obvious why the Boston Herald and New York Times
selected the Inn as one of the ten most romantic places in the
world
The White House has built its superb reputation
by providing superior accommodations that are exceeded in quality only
by the meals prepared in its restaraunt. The three intimate
dining rooms continue the pronounced Victorian theme of the Inn, and
are the perfect surroundings in which you will enjoy an evening of
award-winning gourmet dining. The menu is a creative collage of
classic Continental dishes. The extensive selection of appetizers and
entrees are meticulously prepared to please the most demanding
gourmet.
The Inns 23 guest rooms, each with private
bath, are beautifully furnished with period pieces complimentary to an
exclusive New England country inn. Attention to detail and comfort are
of the utmost importance to your hosts. All of the inns guest
rooms have queen size beds or larger and are topped with oversized
featherbeds. You may select to stay in one of several different types
of guest rooms that are available. Nine rooms have fireplaces, six
rooms have balconies or terraces, and four rooms have large whirlpool
tubs. Children ages eight and up are welcome to stay in the main inn.
Children of all ages are welcome in the guest house.
Indoor
and outdoor pools, cross-country center, sauna, whirlpool, and tanning
room provide much deserved rest and relaxation. Also, the White House
Cross-Country center has the "most scenic trails in southern
Vermont".
