In 1985, Sister Schodts Reed and Peter N. Reed bought the structure and masterfully and authentically restored the whole...the gardens, the fountains, the main house, the patio, the carriage house. Their challenge was to create the perfect balance between practical and functional performance within an historic context. Succeeding admirably, the entire property is a proud beauty, listed on the National Historic Register and is a Texas Historic Landmark.

One block from the River Walk, the main house has numerous guest quarters and the Carriage House has two guest suites.
