Guests have some of the most amazing scenery in New Mexico at their feet. While enjoying breakfast you overlook the 400 foot Rio Grande Gorge above Manby Hot Springs. The solar electric house, built by the owners on a 25 acre site, has spectacular adobe interiors and natural stone floors. The common room affords 270 degree views of the surrounding mountains.

Your hosts, Joan and John Dobson, planned the inn to pamper their guests. Each suite is furnished in a comfortable southwestern style with separate sleeping and sitting areas and a private bathroom. All-cotton linens, down pillows, and down comforters are used. Dobson House has been crafted to be gentle to the environment. Designed by Michael Reynolds, known for his innovative use of recycled non-toxic materials and his spectacular adobe interiors, Dobson House offers you luxury and comfort in incredible scenery. The house is solar electric, with passive solar heating.

Dobson House is 13 miles north of Taos, due west of Mt. Wheeler and Taos Ski Valley. White water rafters put in at the John Dunn Bridge two miles north. The river is stocked with trout if you like to fish. The service, accommodations, and surroundings are all ready for you to enjoy.

As you plan your trip to Taos, we invite you to make the Dobson House your home.
