Rainbow Lake Resort, a quiet 20 acre valley, is located in scenic Transylvania County, land of waterfalls, seven miles south of Brevard, North Carolina. Our woodland cottages are set amidst streams, waterfalls, and our beautiful 3 acre lake.

Built during the 1950s as a square dance camp, Rainbow Lake Resort attracted people from hundreds of miles who came to visit and enjoy music-filled days and nights. The camp was closed in the late 1970s and the valley regained its tranquility. The cottages have been completely refurbished without losing any of their original charm, and again the public is being welcomed to return to this serene haven.

All our guests are welcome to enjoy our beautiful lake and forest trails. Play horseshoes, badminton or volleyball, or find a quiet reading spot by a stream. We can accommodate groups of up to 40 people. Home-made meals available at a nearby inn just minutes away. There are also many local attractions.

Each cottage has a full-size living room with a nicely appointed kitchen and a large bedroom with adjoining bath.
