"A taste of Europe in one of the most elegant homes of the Carolinas The original French-country estate building from 1920 with its lush gardens was restored to its old charm and tradition and opened as a B & B in 1996. Eleven foot ceilings, marble fireplaces, ornate mirrors and moldings, exquisite wall and window coverings, oak and marble floors complement an opulent house decor. Plants, flowers, music, candles, pictures, books and wonderful food reflect the cosmopolitan mindset of the owners. Three spacious quest rooms and a full floor, 1000 sqft suite are available, each with private bath and A/C, and theme-decorated with antiques; Cable & VCR with free access to a rich film library; racquet court and fully equipped fitness room. A deluxe breakfast is served during summertime in the rose-garden and on the Mediterranean porches and during winter months in the formal dining room. Available also for honeymoons, weddings, receptions, and other festive occasions. Melange is a short 15-min walk from historic Main Street with its restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, antique dealers, and boutiques. The inn is conveniently located within a half hour drive from Biltmore Estate and other area attractions like Chimney Rock, Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg Home, Brevard Musical Center and Parkway.
