The ultimate in comfort and heartfelt hospitality await your visit to our picturesque bed and breakfast in the heart of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.

Built in 1875 by Captain E.F. Lovill, a Civil War hero and State senator, the Lovill House Inn is rich in family and community history. Careful restoration has preserved the charm of this historic farm house. Each of five large and airy guest rooms has been totally updated with: private baths, cable televisions and telephones. Guest room walls have been double built and insulated to ensure privacy.

The Inn is just a short drive to: Grandfather Mountain and the ski resorts of Beech, Sugar, Appalachian and Hawksnest. We are less than one mile from Appalachian State University and downtown Boone. Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Boone, North Carolina, the historic Lovill House Inn is an in-town rural Inn.

A traditional two-story farm house, the Lovill House Inn is situated on eleven wooded acres at the western edge of Boone, North Carolina. Our home like atmosphere evokes the feeling of a slower more relaxed time. You are welcome to unwind, enjoy a leisurely nap, rock a while on our wrap around porch or to put "dibs" on a shaded hammock by the stream.
