Brookside House
Brookside House offers guests a delightful alternative
to hotel or motel living. Set in a quiet, residential neighborhood, just a
couple miles south of the Country Club Plaza, Brookside House is a typical
late 40's stucco colonial. Unlike the traditional "Bed &
Breakfast", your host and hostess do not live in Brookside House.
Instead, guests are invited to live in the spacious quarters just they
would in their own home. The house is furnished with a piano, fireplace,
cable TV, VCR, Stereo, lots of games, books, and puzzles. The formal
dining room is the perfect place for a small elegant dinner party or
intimate dinner for two. Upstairs are three double-occupancy bedrooms,
making it possible to accomodate a family or several couples traveling
together. A shady stone porch extends all the way across the front of the
house. Comfortable wicker furniture makes this the perfect spot to enjoy
the afternoon breeze, read, or just "watch the world go by!"
Rather than serving breakfast at a time that might or might not be
convenient to their guests, your hosts supply a wide array of breakfast
foods. Fresh fruits and juices, cereal, pastries, and freshly baked bread
or coffee cake are provided. Guests may choose to whip up pancakes or
bacon and eggs. Coffee and tea, hot chocolate mix, and milk are also
provided. Rates are $95 for the house and the first bedroom and $35 for
each additional bedroom and $25 for the sleeper sofa. Based two night
minimum. 10% discount after one week.
