The Inn is set on two acres of lawn and trees, surrounded by miles of bicycle paths and nature trails. The Audubon Sanctuary is only a mile north, perfect for bird watchers or wildlife enthusiasts.

Once a prominent Eastham Sea Captain's home, and originally built in 1690, the PENNY HOUSE INN served as a family home for many years. In the early 1980's it was carefully restored, refurbished, and converted to a country inn, retaining its Colonial ancestry and charm.

Each morning guests are invited into the 1690 dining room with its original wide-planked floors and beamed ceilings, to enjoy a delicious breakfast of pecan waffles topped with strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries; sausage, pineapple muffins, with chilled fresh fruit juice and plenty of gourmet ground coffee or piping hot herbal tea.

The PENNY HOUSE INN, located midway between Hyannis and Provincetown, is ideally suited as "Homebase" for daily excursions, whalewhatching, ferries to the Islands, dune and seashore tours, sailing and deep sea fishing.
