Victoria Inn & Gardens
Drive only 23 miles South of New Orleans down Bayou Barataria and experience Cajun living. Explore bayous once haunted by Jean Lafitte and relax in elegant surroundings fit for the debonair pirate himself. The Inn is located in the Cajun fishing village of Jean Lafitte 7 miles from the Barataria Unit of the Jean Lafitte National Park. You reach us by driving down Highway 45 from Hwy 90 Business on the West Bank of the Mississippi River.
The two West Indies style plantation houses in the compound are on over nine
acres of landscaped grounds and overlook one of the many lakes in South
Louisiana. As a little lagniappe we serve complementary drinks on arrival.
Enjoy them on the gallery, out on our private pier or strolling through the
gardens. Each morning you will enjoy our superb 3 course breakfast graciously
served on the patio or in the dining room. Stay with us awhile and have fun on
swamp tours, trawling for shrimp(seasonal), evening sailing trips, fishing for
redfish and trout, taking a birding and dolphin watching cruise down to Grand
Isle, canoeing or hiking through the Jean Lafitte National Park or enjoying a
real Cajun Fais Do Do every Sunday afternoon. All this and wonderful seafood
restaurants make a stay at Victoria Inn and Gardens a perfect addition to your
Louisiana vacation.
