Within a 100 year old Victorian are two guest suites, each with a private entrance.
The first floor suite is a one bedroom apartment with a queen size bed. The second floor
suite is a 2 bedroom apartment with a king size bed and two single beds. Each suite has
a living room with cable television, private telephone, and a separate fully furnished
kitchen/dining area. A lovely patio courtyard awaits your enjoyment.
Algiers Point is serene and historic, New Orleans' second oldest neighborhood
after the French Quarter, just right for strolling and seeing examples of New
Orleans architecture. Close by are a coffee shop, neighborhood bar/restaurant,
bank, post office, library, circa 1897 courthouse and Mardi Gras World.
It is a five minute ferry ride, free for pedestrians, between Algiers Point and the foot of Canal
Street. The Riverwalk, aquarium, Jax Brewery, central business
district, French Quarter, convention center and casino are all within a few
minutes walk. Many visitors find the ferry ride, with its wonderful views of
the city and the Mississippi, to be one of the unique treats of their stay. Although
the bridge over the river is also close by, Elephant Walk is just two short
blocks from the ferry.
Rates vary according to the number of guests, the season and the length of
stay. Food and beverages will be stocked upon request. Airport transportation
provided for a nominal fee. We will be pleased to make dining and tour
recommendations and reservations and assist in making your visit to New Orleans
a memorable one. Mandatory is at least once sharing wine, cheese and conversation
with your hosts, Sharon and Don Giles, in their residence on the first floor! Please
email, telephone us or visit our web site.
