Rose Hill Inn
Our home, Rose Hill, built in the early 1800s, was
one of the original estates in Versailles, Kentucky, and is part of the Rose
Hill Historic District. Rumored to have been used as a hospital during the
Civil War and a campground for both North and South, the home and grounds are
steeped in history.
We provide the comforts of a
country estate within a block of downtown Versailles,
and minutes from the Blue Grass Airport, Lexington,
and Frankfort. The Inn has a large formal parlor, a
relaxing library, and a cozy second floor sitting
room, complete with guest refrigerator and microwave.
We will prepare a piping hot, nutritious breakfast for
you in our main dining room where you will enjoy sharing your
experiences with the other guests. Upon request, we can also
deliver breakfast to your room in a wicker basket.
We have 2 1/2 acres for your enjoyment. Children are welcome,
especially in the cottage. Pets are possible on an individual
basis. Come to the Bluegrass region of Kentucky and
enjoy the sights...drive through famous horse country, tour a special farm,
Keeneland race track, Kentucky Horse Park, Shaker Village, shop for antiques,
visit Midway College and the University of Kentucky, or just borrow our bikes
and take a tour of Versailles! Make it a relaxing getaway weekend, or see the
sights with Rose Hill Inn as your home base. This magnificent home is a
Kentucky landmark and has provided shelter and security for almost 200 years.
Many memories have been made here - why not come and make some of your own?
