Built in 1855 for the Andrew Gordon Low family, these twin Federal style townhouses are in the heart of Savannah's Historic District on quiet Oglethorpe Square. In 1870 Robert E. Lee paid a call here to confederate General Alexander R. Lawton, lawyer and American charge d' affairs to the Court of Vienna. Lovingly restored in 1987 with a private courtyard and parking facility, the President's Quarters has earned the prestigious AAA four diamond rating every year since opening. Not only are we three blocks from River Street, but restaurants, tours, and local quaint shops are a few steps away with the architecturally renown Owens-Thomas House next door.

The history of our past Presidents as well as elegant antique and period furnishings afford our guests the comforts of a well appointed inn. These spacious rooms have ceilings up to 13 feet high, fireplaces, 4 poster beds, along with 7 as suites, 4 with balconies, and 2 loft bedrooms perfect for honeymooners. Whirlpool tubs, ceiling fans, A/C, refrigerators, armoirs with video and cable TV, and writing desks with data port phones are just some of the conveniences available.
