Located on a relatively secluded stretch of sand in the quiet and un-crowded North Beach area of Miami Beach. An intimate escape from hectic South Beach. The Ocean Surf has been owned and operated by three generations of the same friendly family, providing genuine hospitality since 1951.

In 1997, the Ocean Surf completed a historically sensitive restoration allowing an Art Deco jewel to breathe a new life. Dade Heritage Trust, Miami-Dade County's most prominent historic preservation organization, recognized the Ocean Surf in June 2000 with their Preservation Award for Outstanding Restoration of a Historic Building.

The Ocean Surf has been inspected and approved by both "AAA" and the Mobil Travel Guide to meet their high standards for quality and cleanliness. Discovery.com/TravelChannel rated the Ocean Surf as the "Best B&B" in Miami Beach in their America's Best Beaches article
