By all accounts, this resident owned community and resort is the friendliest place to live and visit. Because of the resident ownership, volunteers abound in a community effort to make Lake Como - the best it can be, for residents and guests.

Lake Como operates a full service restaurant/lounge and lakeside pub. There is a large heated swimming pool, sauna, and relaxing, screen enclosed hot tub. Sports facilities include: tennis, volleyball, petanque, horseshoes, shuffleboard, billiards, just to mention a few.

The centerpiece of Lake Como's park-like setting is a 35 acre lake with two swimming beaches, picnic areas, and a choice of sunning lawns or cool shade. The lake is popular for fishing and boating. Many days, colorful sailboats enhance the beauty of the lake. Paddle boats, canoes, and kayaks are available for rent.

Lake Como provides an extensive program of social events and activities for its members and guests. There are weekly dances and theme parties, sports tournaments, children's activities, live music, pool parties, cookouts, and more. A typical weekend will find about 400 to 600 people enjoying the grounds - playing tennis, volleyball, or relaxing poolside.
