Experience all the ruggedness and beauty of the Mendocino Coast from a discriminating vantage point where fine dining and lodging are in harmony with time and nature. The Harbor House Inn ... Timeless Luxury in the most spectacular setting in Northern California. three hours from San Francisco.

Built in 1916, The Harbor House Inn is the grand dame of the Redwood Empire standing vigil on a rocky cliff overlooking Greenwood Cove with its spectacular rock formations and powerful, ever changing sea.

Built in the classic Craftsman style, the main house was originally an executive lodge for lumber company executives, whose milling operations took place in the cove below. Today its majesty lives on.

Outside, pathways meander through magnificent gardens with private seating and vista areas. Passing a secluded waterfall, steps lead to the private beach below. The constant surge of the wild Pacific sets the backdrop for this natural symphony of brilliant flowers, coastal birds and the distant bark of sea lions.

Newly refurbished, The Harbor House Inn features classic and antique furnishings, fireplaces, decks and private baths throughout.

Appointed with luxury in mind, the six rooms of the main house are grand in scale and exude a sophisticated style and ambiance.

Four cottages flank the main house. Set among the redwoods and cypress, each is simple, intimate and tastefully appointed.
