The parlor in the main house, once the barn on this village farm, now welcomes guests with information about the Inn, the neighborhood and many dining places nearby. Sherry is always on the sideboard and fresh chocolate chip cookies are waiting to melt in your mouth. This is the place where that bounteous breakfast will be served in the morning. One of the favorite events at the Blue Spruce is breakfast, always included in the room rate and a hearty meal to fuel the day's activities. Guests may choose to sit at the large common table, the cozy window seat for two, move off to a sunny garden spot or eat on their own private deck area. Whatever the choice, the food will meet the highest expectations. Breakfast always starts with an array of fresh fruits from local growers--strawberries, melons, apples--followed by homebaked muffins or coffeecake and Pat's own granola or hot Irish oats. An entree is always included which might be a potato frittata, fresh peach crepes or French toast decadence. Coffee, teas, cocoa and juices round out a satisfying meal.
