Marble Lodge was built in 1914 -15 of locally mined pink, grey and white marble, and enjoys a spectacular setting with views through the trees in all directions, overlooking the lovely town of Angaston and down through the valley to Nuriootpa. The property consists of 6 acres in total, with 2 acres of delightful gardens. The homestead is set well back from the road ensuring complete quiet and privacy. Consider coming for a night or more, enjoy the clean air, the peace and romance, and waken to the morning chorus of the many lovely birds who live in our garden. All this is just one hours drive from Adelaide - in the hills and and heart of the Barossa Valley.

Situated on a privileged site in a quiet residential area of the lovely town of Angaston, Marble Lodge is a luxury fully hosted retreat, a "Special Place". Our new B&B Lodge which opened on 1st of January, 1995, was built of local white marble, with many of the features and luxurious splendour of our imposing Federation style home. Built well back from the street on a 6 acre estate, the beautiful B&B Lodge is in a superb setting among lofty trees in the lovely garden just behind the homestead, where pampered guests enjoy plush furnishings, antiques, intricately carved French .

Every detail displays our commitment to excellence, enhanced with elegance and comfort for those wanting to share the unique lifestyle we enjoy and take for granted. Reverse cycle air conditioning and open log fires in winter months will make your stay extremely enjoyable and memorable. Soft classical music piped from the homestead, colour television and ample reading material will help you to enjoy the quality personalised service in luxurious and romantic surroundings.

Rooms are serviced daily. Bath robes, toiletries and hair dryers, and electric blankets in winter, are all provided. The wide verandah overlooks a lovely garden and has wicker chairs providing the perfect setting for having wine or teas outdoors in warmer months. Full laundry facilities (washing machine, dryer and ironing board) are available for our travelling guests in the utility room. A tennis court is also available. Guests are encouraged to wander through the extensive gardens with seats placed in secluded spots for lovers to enjoy privacy and romance. Numerous birds live in our beautiful trees. Feel free to take photographs of the deer and kangaroos in our deer park by the driveway.

There are so many things visitors can do and see in this area. The Barossa is famous for its gourmet food and fine wines, it really is a shame not to spend at least several days here so you can see and experience some of South Australia's loveliest countryside. Ideally, make Marble Lodge your "base" for a few days, consider taking day trips to Clare Valley (another famous wine district 1 hour away), historic Burra (2 hours) or to the vast areas of irrigated oranges, stone fruits and vines of the Riverland (1 hour).
