Doncaster Inn
Doncaster Inn

The Doncaster Inn, built in 1837, was the first hotel in Braidwood. It was sold to the Good Samaritan Order of Nuns for use as a convent in 1878. Demolished in 1905, the convent was rebuilt from the same materials and on the site of the original Doncaster Inn.Today, you can enjoy the taste of country fresh food cooked by our award winning chef. Come and relax in our peaceful gardens or lounge in front of an open fire.

Functions and seminars are held in the beautiful ex chapel. Special rates are available. We specialise in small executive conferences. The accommodation consists of 12 bedrooms all with views and antique brass or colonial style beds.

The town of Braidwood itself has been classified by the National Trust, and the region offers sightseeing, fossicking, fishing, golf, tennis, squash, swimming, canoeing, bushwalking in several national parks, and of course, relaxation.
