You'll
love curling up in the jumbo rocking chairs on the front porch...just
rocking, sipping mint tea or cool lemonade, reading or watching the
happenings along Main Street. Maybe you'll walk to Old Hardy Town's
antique and craft shops...or maybe stroll along the river...or join
the other guests for conversation or games.
In the morning
you will awaken to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baking
bread. After a leisurely cup of coffee, you'll be served breakfast in
the dining room. Remember breakfast at Grandma's - lace tablecloth,
roses, china, silver and the smell of something wonderful cooking?
Time has not changed Hardy, an old railroad town situated on
the banks of the Spring River, well known for its large antique
auctions and unique shops. The Spring River is famous for canoeing and
trout fishing.
Time has not changed the charm of this
two-story stone home built in the 1920s. Most of the house is
original, but private baths and central heat/air have been added for
your comfort. The Olde Stonehouse and many of the Old Hardy Town's
shops are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
