Perfect remote getaway. Waterfront view of sea otters, salmon, bald eagles, the historic boardwalk, and Seldovia Bay with the famous Mt. Iliamna Volcano visible just 40 miles away.

Seldovia is a place for those truly seeking peace and quiet. No one really passes through the tiny fishing village. It is off the road system and about 16 miles south of Homer across Kachemak Bay, and can only be reached by boat or plane. It takes a little effort to get there. You need to leave your car behind. Everything in the small village is within walking distance. Beach combing, hiking, mountain biking, berry picking, sight seeing, fishing ,a and good old rest and relaxation are among the few activities the community has to offer.

About our five guestrooms: The guest rooms in Swan House South will remain television free, as this is a place for adults to get away from it all and relax in the peace and quiet Seldovia has to offer. All five guest rooms have a wonderful view, whether it be the mountains or the water, and are decorated with custom shades (room darkening) and curtains. The top level has three lovely rooms, all private baths with tiled floors and modern fixtures. Two of the rooms have comfortable queen-size Serta beds. The second level has two larger bedrooms which share a roomy bathroom with shower and a bathtub. Plush monogrammed bathrobes and slippers are provided for our guest's use. Both of these rooms have Serta queen-size beds with custom comforters or bedspreads.

Other amenities: There is a sun room on the top level for guests to enjoy, rising high above the water, nestled in the pines with a 270 degree view overlooking the harbor with a mountainous backdrop out each window. Bald eagles can often be seen soaring by in search of a salmon. There are plenty of books to read, board games, telescopes to view wild life, and comfortable modern leather sofas and recliners to sit and relax.

Sierra pink coral Corian countertops are one of the many up-to-date features in our large high-tech kitchen, along with the latest European appliances. The dining area is our newest addition to Swan House South. It is an all glass enclosed "cafe style" room with two dining tables overlooking the water, nestled high in the pines. A setting that compares to no other!
